Spa report
The #480 Milo Racing has beaten the elements!
With around a hundred Fun Cups on the starting grid, the Franco Fun Festival was synonymous with great spectacle on Saturday at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps! An exciting race... but unfortunately interrupted just after the six-hour mark due to complicated weather conditions.
As expected, theEuropean Fun Cup 's top crews didn't let the opportunity to monopolize the upper echelons of the standings pass them by at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. In the first third of the race, the #280 Milo Sens of Lorenzo Donniacuo, Kevin Caprasse and Simon Tourneur, double winner at Dijon-Prenois a few weeks earlier, crossed swords with the #424 Groupe Lemoine by M3M of Cédric Bollen, Edouard Chevalier and Guillaume Mondron, and the #480 Milo Racing of Timo Van Impe, Alexandre Renneteau and Lucas Taelman. After four hours of racing, i.e. half the initial distance, the three cars were together in just one minute!
Two hours later, the rain was very intense and considerably reduced visibility, forcing the race directors to raise the red flag. All we had to do was wait for the rain to ease off and check the condition of the track," commented Benoit Abdelatif, organizer of theEuropean Fun Cup. The situation improved with an hour and a quarter to go, but the Franco Fun Festival was a victim of its own success! We had to deal with a hundred cars to re-form a starting grid. This was bound to take time. We risked restarting the race for around twenty minutes, and on a difficult track at that. Reason therefore prevailed, and for safety reasons, there was no Restart, andthe hierarchy shortly after the six-hour mark wasratified as the official classification."

The #480 Milo Racing took its first win of the season, ahead of the #424 Groupe Lemoine by M3M and the #280 Milo Sens. These three top crews beat the #556 No Limit Racing of Ludovic and Lou Bellinato, accompanied by Kevin Balthazar, the #488 Ben Watches X Milo of Ben and Sam Schroeder, and the #514 Michael Mazuin Sport of Gabriel, Louis and Camille Mazuin!
In the Fun rankings, the #536 AP Mecanics of Alexandre Charlier, Nathan Diederickx, Pierre and Gilles Piron doubled its victory with an excellent final 7th place, ahead of the #282 M3M Academy of Alex De Schepper, Louis-Victor Berthe, Alessando Tudisca and Tom Van Langendonck, which gained some... 32 places between the start and the end of the race! Definitely the 'remontada' of the day! The #518 DPW Racing of Maxime Debersaques, Michiel Lescroart and Stef Willems completed the podium.
Total domination by the #488 Ben Watches X Milo in Pure, which concluded the race one lap ahead of the #414 Schumacher by AC Motorsport of Arnaud Quédé, Guido Krieg, Cyril Pinaud and Nicolas Bever, and two rounds ahead of the #404 Milo racing of Boniver Christophe, Furnal Alain and Lavigne Arnaud.
For Pass LRE by Comtoyou has already exacted its revenge in the two-seater ranks, with #365, driven by Stéphane Lémeret, Philippe Wintgens, Christian Gengoux, Gautier Engisch and Philippe Reynens, getting the better of the #378 N3 Team by SRS of Christophe Moors, Steve Sovet, Axel Daout and Martin Leburton, as well as the #380 Fun 4U by AP of David Nevers, Gilles Vanderweyen and Vincent Deroanne.
In the Rookies category, the famous Raul Marchisio was the best rookie at the wheel of the #88 DDK Protection Unit, ahead of the #67 SGRT.be of Joeri Janssens and the #496 TJ Racing 4 Competition of Nils Duckers and Yannick Margraff.
Finally, in the Ladies' category, Lou Bellinato, driving the #556 No Limit Racing, was the most efficient, winning from Camille Mazuin, in the 514 Michael Mazuin Sport, and the duo Elea Trenchant and Zoé Meulders, the Dijon-Prenois winners, in the #485 Config Racing Junior.
TheEuropean Fun Cup continues on Sunday June 8 on another legendary track, Charade, in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, with a new 8-hour race...
