Circuit Zolder, a regular stop for the Fun Cup, is always full of surprises. Built in 1963, Zolder hosted the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix ten times in the 1970s and 1980s.
Zolder is famous for being the circuit on which Gilles Villeneuve was killed during qualifying for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix, an event which led to the Flemish circuit being removed from the F1 calendar, even though the accident was not caused by the circuit.
The Belgian Grand Prix, still run on this circuit the following season, then moved to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
